Overview

The Ouray Hot Springs Pool isn’t the standard hot spring tub. The pool is divided into sections, with soaking areas ranging in temperature from 96 to 106 degrees, a lap swimming and diving area, a slide and a shallow section for children. The pool is also free of the sulfur odor usually found with natural hot springs. With beautiful mountains in every direction, there is no better place to rejuvenate yourself after a few days of hiking or skiing!

Location/Directions

The Ouray, Colorado, hot springs are about an hour away from Telluride. Head west out of town on Highway 145 and turn right at the dead end onto Highway 62. At the stoplight in Ridgway turn right onto Highway 550. The pool is easily spotted from the road when you reach Ouray. Hours/Seasons

The pool is open year-round, although the hours do fluctuate depending on the season. In summer, the pool is open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day. In winter, the hours are noon to 9 p.m. on week-days and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on week-ends.

The pool’s bathhouse has showers, hair dryers, a play-pen and changing table for infants. There is also an adjoining 1,800-square-foot Fitness Center with weight-lifting equipment, treadmills, stair-climbers, stationary bikes and other exercise equipment.
