There is no shortage of winter adventure in Telluride. Whether you want to hit the slopes of the ski resort, rip up snowmobile trails, try ice climbing or dog sledding, there is something for everyone. Telluride Ski Resort is a popular destination for guests as there is terrain for all abilities, not to mention to amazing views.
Dog sled tours are a great way to see the backcountry. Two people ride at a time and children are permitted to sit on parents laps. The sleds are pulled by eight to ten Alaskan huskies which are a treat to see on their own.
Heli-skiing is designed for expert skiers and offers fresh powder that is otherwise unaccessible.
Sleigh rides are a perfect family activity that usually run daily. The ride goes through the hills and meadows around Mountain Village.
Ice skating is available in the center of Mountain Village and is accompanied by music nightly.
Snowmobiling, crosscountry skiing and snow shoeing are also great ways to see the backcountry.
Thrill Hill is the home of snow tubing and is open to all ages.
Ice climbing on frozen waterfalls near Telluride is an adventure not to be missed.
