Telluride Colorado Swimming Pools

Telluride has an outdoor community pool great for families and afternoon lap swimming, and some Mountain Village resorts offer public walk-up rates for their pools.

  • The Telluride Community Pool is located in Town Park and is open late May to early September.
  • Some resorts offer public walk-rates to use their swimming pools.
  • Local swimming offers chilly but refreshing water when the temperature gets high.

Overview

For a small town, Telluride does have options if you like to get in the water and swim. The community pool is family friendly and large enough for laps. Many of the bigger resorts in Mountain Village also have indoor and outdoor pools with walk-in rates.

The San Miguel River also holds some swimming holes—some are harder to find than others—and is a great destination on a sizzling summer afternoon.

Where to go Swimming

Town Park
The Telluride Community Pool is open late May to early September and is $4 for adults, $2 for children 4-17 and free for children under 3.
There are also popular swimming holes along the San Miguel River in Town Park, but be ready for some chilly water. Always make sure the water isn’t moving too fast, however, as runoff in can make the water dangerous in May and June.

Mountain Village
Many of the resorts have indoor and/or outdoor pools and accept walk-ins. The Peaks Resort and Spa has a indoor and outdoor pool and Telluride’s only waterslide. Call ahead to make sure the pool is open to the public during peak seasons.
