The Telluride Gondola is one of those pleasing answers to environmental control. With no noise and no air pollution, the Gondola is the answer to commuting by car and eliminating congested parking lots. The Gondola was built with an eye to its surroundings – the gondola towers do not rise higher than the tree line, so it does not obstruct the natural view.
Each gondola cabin can carry eight passengers. With thirty-two cabins, it is easy to get on board. The Telluride Gondola can accommodate 480 people per hour to all stations in both directions. It is also possible to take along your mountain bike in some of the passenger cabins.
The equivalent of three high-speed express lifts, the Gondola does transport skiers and snowboarders during the skiing season. However, the Gondola value is in its use as a public transportation system.
