Telluride Kids Summer Fun

Telluride, Colorado has numerous fun activities for kids and their families all during the year from dance to karate, from movies to musicals, from theater workshops to art classes. Children of all ages enjoy riding the free gondola and/or a trip to the hot springs swimming pool. With the onset of summer, there is a multitude of activities to excite and entertain the kids.

Summer in Telluride, Colorado is an excellent time for a family vacation. The area is a wonderful place for family friendly activities and for activities designed just for the kids. The kids can be kept busy at the nature center or at the man made rock used for climbing.

The kids can become a Junior Ranger by attending a guided nature hike up Bear Creek led by a Forest Ranger. After finishing an activity book and completing a project, the kids are declared junior rangers.

There are a variety of sports sponsored by the local Parks and Recreation Department including soccer, baseball, basketball and volleyball. Swimming lessons are also available. The plethora of camps offered in the summer, offer mountain biking, kayaking, rock climbing, rafting, horses, canoeing, gymnastic, mountaineering, hiking visual and performing arts, ecology exploration and adventure travel.
