The Sheridan Arts Foundation invites you to be a part of one of the most meaningful and exciting festivals of the Telluride community, the annual Wild West Fest. In 2012 we celebrate our 21st anniversary, with many exciting community events and enriching and educational experiences for all!

Overview: The Wild West Fest is packed full of festive activities from workshops to cookouts. There are also horseback rides, hikes, historical mine tours, and Ranch Rodeo events. For many people, the live performances of music, dance, and theater are a highlight. Performances are held at the historic Sheridan Opera House, offering a glimpse into Telluride's mining past.

Details: The most significant aspect of the Wild West Fest is the "Mentorship Program," which rewards inner city and disadvantaged youths from across the United States by bringing them to Telluride a week of educational activities and a dose of Western fun. With so many events to take part in, it's no wonder the Wild West Fest is a highlight of Telluride's busy summer season.
