Hula Moon Classic Snowshoe Race
The Hula Moon Snowshoe Classic is a fun night race for all ages and abilities. There is a 5K uphill race and a 3K scramble on more moderate terrain. Racers and spectators are encouraged to wear tacky and Hawaiian costumes and there is an after party complete with music, drink, and prizes.
The Hula Moon Snowshoe course is lined with tiki torches and glowsticks which is just a glimpse of the flair and energy at this race. The race is held at night and starts in the Mountain Village at the base of the Telluride Ski Area. The two different courses offer something for all abilities along with the luau after party and awards ceremony. Awards are given to the top three male and female racers and to the best tacky costume. There are also quality give away prizes for all competitors and volunteers. The party is open to everyone and offers food, drink, and live music. Registration is available on and prior to race day.
