Get your cardboard, duct-tape, paint, and imagination ready for the annual Cardboard Sled Derby on Sunday, March 24 at the Telluride Ski Resort, Lift Two. Registration for One to One's biggest youth and family event of the year is at 9:30 a.m. Race time is 10:30 a.m.
Join dozens of kids as they race down the mountain in hand-made sleds. Prizes will be awarded to top finishers for speed and creativity. In order to participate, each team member must have a completed Registration Waiver Form by March 20th. Registration form is available at: www.onetoonetelluride.org and can also be picked up from Rick Fusting's office, Telluride Sotheby's 119 W CO Ave, by the Sweet Life.
Each sled must have a side, front and back of a minimum of six inches. Metal tape, ropes, or strings are not allowed on the sled, but waxing is permitted. Helmets and goggles are required, however ski boots are not allowed. Youth do NOT need to have a lift ticket to participate.
